Alberta’s Airsheds

  • Are community-based, multi-stakeholder organizations that monitor ambient air quality and report unbiased and reliable air quality data in Alberta.

  • Have earned the public’s trust as they are responsive to community needs, provide valuable education and awareness, meet, or exceed air monitoring standards, and produce credible, transparent, and science-based air quality information.

  • Operate efficiently as not-for-profit organizations, leveraging resources from all stakeholders to provide a high-end return on investment for members and funders, including governments, industry, and communities who need third-party, independent monitoring and validation of air quality data.

Alberta Airsheds Council includes membership from all ten Airsheds in Alberta and was formed to represent the collective interests of this collaborative group. The local efforts of each of Alberta’s Airsheds ensures valuable community oversight and involvement in our collective goal of clean air.
