Calling all photography enthusiasts and nature lovers!

Starting May 1st, in celebration of Clean Air Day 2024, we are launching our 2024 Photo Contest to showcase the beauty of clean air and to inspire others to appreciate and protect it. The contest will run from May 1 – June 30, 2024.

There will be 2 prizes awarded:

$100 Amazon Gift Card - awarded on Clean Air Day, June 5, 2024, by random draw of all photos entered by this date.

$200 Amazon Gift Card - awarded after June 30, 2024, to the Top photo of all contest entries, selected by the Alberta Airsheds Council.

Here's how you can enter:

1. Find your inspiration

Step outside and find your inspiration in the clear skies, lush landscapes, or any element that represents clean air to you. It could be a serene park, a blooming flower, or even people enjoying an eco-friendly activity.

2. Capture your moment of clean air in a photograph.

Let your creativity shine and tell a story through your lens. Remember to focus on composition, lighting, and the overall impact of your image.

3. Post your photo on Instagram or Facebook between May 1st – June 30th, 2024.

Use the hashtag #AACPhotoContest2024 and tagging our official account @AlbertaAirsheds. Make sure your profile is public so we can see your entry.

4. Caption your photo

In the caption, share a few words about why clean air is important to you and how your photo reflects this significance. Feel free to mention any actions you're taking to contribute to clean air efforts.

5. Spread the word!

Encourage your friends, family, and followers to participate by sharing this post and inviting them to join the contest. Together, we can raise awareness about the importance of clean air through the power of photography.

Winners will be selected based on creativity, and relevance to the theme of clean air. Prizes will be awarded and the winning photos will be featured on our website, social media platforms and other materials to inspire others.
